Hi All!

Welcome to campus, get ready to sing! We are auditioning singers of all vocal parts, as we need to fill ranks to replace those lucky few who graduated. Auditions are this week, Aug 31 - Sep 2, 6 - 8:30 PM, and will be held in the Rose Alumni House, Rose Alumni House, 232 York Street, New Haven, CT. Contact Raj Basak (citations@yale.edu) for more information and to sign up for an audition slot! Walk in auditionees are accepted, but send us an email us to guarantee you’ll get a slot for a particular evening.

Spring Concert 2015

Our Spring concert finished our year with a resounding note of success on May 8, with more than 200 tickets sold, and every chair in Sudler Hall filled! We had a large set list and sang sixteen songs, with an additional freestyle VP thrown in for good measure. We usually perform in the McDougal Center, so the acoustics were a welcome change for the returning members, and for those of you who have come to our concerts before as well!

And, better still, we captured the entire concert in 1080p60, which is now up on YouTube and embedded below. Check it out!

About the Citations

The Citations is Yale Graduate School’s co-ed a cappella group. Formed in the spring of 2003, we sing a range of musical styles for male and female voices. Our evolving repertoire includes a variety of songs such as Pinball Wizard (The Who), Ain’t Misbehavin (Fats Waller), Wake Me Up (Avicii), Hit ‘Em Up Style (Blu Cantrell), and Somebody to Love (Queen). We regularly perform at Mory’s, the traditional Yale dinner club, graduate and professional school events, and other private events such as weddings and cocktail parties.

We rehearse once a week and have a number of concerts throughout the year. We are sponsored by the Office of Student Life at the McDougal Graduate Student Center as part of the graduate school, and have members from departments across the graduate and professional schools, including spouses and affiliates of students.
